During processing (carving, peeling, printing, cutting around), many small pieces of beech wood fungus remain, which have been used for smoking by mankind throughout history.
Numerous records testify that American Indians, Europeans, but also Mongolian and Japanese chronicles note that beech wood smoke was an element of funeral ceremonies, because it keeps evil spirits away.
To put it more pragmatically, due to its bactericidal and antiviral, disinfectant, and anti-inflammatory effects, amadou smoke keeps flies, mosquitoes, and wasps away, so that it has a completely pleasant smell, one can exist in this smoke.
This is confirmed by the beekeepers of the Carpathian Basin, who have been calming bees with amadou smoke for centuries when they work all day long among open hives.
Who do we recommend beech wood smoke to?
So that not only beekeepers can enjoy the effects of this beneficial smoke, we offer it in bags to all those
Who want to be free from mosquitoes and wasps when hiking or camping.
Those who would like to enjoy peaceful moments on the terrace or veranda of their house, free of mosquitoes and flies
Those who keep farm animals and have no idea how to keep annoying flies away from their animals
For anglers, those who work on the waterfront, who want to indulge in their hobby for hours in the mosquito kingdom
Suggested use
Place a few pieces of tinder amadou in a used tin can or ashtray, light them (it doesn't burn with a flame, it just glows), and then when they are used up, throw a few more pieces on them until the smoke is needed. When it is no longer needed, you can simply extinguish the glowing tinder by soaking it in water, or let the piece burn out.
